Still finding the solution. Ticks me off. Had the same problem. My computer was slowed to a crawl. Checked the Task manager and there it was. Somehow, someway, this program magically installed itself on my computer within the past week and I sure as heck didn't install it. I love Dell, but come on, this constant updating is just annoying and now with this assist thing, it's just ridiculous. Assist what? Need to have simple options to turn this auto update junk off.

Windows is just as bad. Choosing to restart my computer when I have important files open. It doesn't properly close them and I lose information and sometimes the entire file gets corrupted because it wasn't shut down properly.

These forced updates without my permission are just ridiculous. We don't need to blanking update every other friggen day!!!! Enough already. When you download drivers from the Dell website, there you first download dell support assist that checks the status of your already installed drivers.
